Senior Partner - Research, Transactions and Climate Finance Lead
Benjamin Hornsby-Odoi is an applied economist with expertise in investment appraisal, financial modelling, and risk analysis. He brings over a decade of professional experience spanning public finance, infrastructure and deal advisory, and strategy consulting.

He has served as Technical Advisor at Ghana’s Ministry of Finance, where he was responsible for evaluating PPP and public investment projects and supporting ministries and government agencies with developing robust financial models to guide transaction structuring and financing.

His earlier experience as a Senior Associate with KPMG Ghana focused on transaction advisory, corporate finance, and strategy consulting, equipping him with practical deal execution skills alongside policy-level insight. Some of his consulting experiences with KPMG include:
• Development of strategic plans for Universal Merchant Bank (2017), Kasapreko Ltd (2015), Quantum Terminals (2016), Ghana Libyan Arab Holding Company (2016)
• Financial Due Diligence and Corporate Valuation services for OLEA Holdings (2016), Abraaj Group (2016)
• Feasibility studies for the construction of the Osu Oxford Street Mall (2016) and an Oil Jetty and Tank Farm (2016)

Benjamin holds a BSc in Economics and Finance (First Class) from the University of York and an MSc in Finance and Investment from Durham University, both in the UK. He recently completed postgraduate studies in Evidence-Based Social Policy and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford, with a research focus on applied econometrics and policy evaluation.
